Jack Turns 4!

Well it happened... we have a 4-year old. Somehow, Jack seemed to skip from newborn to four in what seemed like 1 year. Time flies and he has grown up before our eyes. We celebrated with a small family party at our house on his birthday, July 30 and then took him to Holiday World that week after. Here is a post dedicated to Jack at 4!

Jack loves to....
1) Go to both Grandma and Grandpa's houses.... he begs to... not afraid to spend the night but most of the time ends up sleeping in the same bed with each Grandma. Grandpas are the smart ones... they know they won't get good sleep next to him.

2) Drink chocolate milk, would drink it all day, every day.

3) Ride his riding John Deere lawnmower and work along side Daddy

4) Watch Doc McStuffins, Clifford, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Cars 1, Cars 2, and if they made them.... a 3,4,5..... we are sick of cars!

5) Go to Michelle's house (babysitter) and playing with his friends there, mostly Evan, Drew, Ali, & Charlie. Other favorite playmates are Cale and Levi.

6) Ride his strider bike (no petals, just push with your feet) & take walks and can ride for miles!

7) Eat bread, crackers, any chocolate candy bar, or Oreos.... basically all the stuff I try to keep out of the house.

8) Play truck, motorcycles and even a good game of "puppy dog" in the house.

9) Sleep with mommy and daddy in our big bed.... we try to limit this!

10) Go to Mi Pueblo for Shrimp and Rice (with cheese of course)!

11) Be a big brother. And he is sooooo good at it! Love his face in this picture!

He knows how to spell his name, who parents are, what city and state he lives in, count to 20, say ABC's. Next we are going to work on writing his name and recognizing ABCs.

Below are also some pictures from his birthday party. Jack specifically asked for a chocolate cake (big surprise) and a snowmobile.... why a snowmobile in July... no clue, the child had been obsessed with them lately.

Jack and cousin Addy unwrapping Jack's scooter from Great Mamaw and Great Papaw Williams.

His first set of (real) clubs from Mommy and Daddy!

Before there were 4.... it was just us 3.

Post-party picture, enjoying his new toys.

Modeling some of his new clothes.... he is excited about the idea of having soccer clothes and signing up for soccer this fall.

Jess and I amazed every day at the things this child says and does, how grown up and childlike he is - all at the same time. We are so proud of the kind-hearted, mild-mannered, little boy that you are Jackson Thomas Brower. We often find ourselves saying, we need to remember what we did with him, because we think we got it right... and we want to remember that for the children to come! :) Wishful thinking I guess!
