If you're just seeing November's post, you really need to go back and see October's too... I know, I know... you're thinking, "more than one post in the same day?" But the fact is, I am WAY behind and I am doing some catching up month by month. You may even see 3 posts from this weekend, we'll see.
November was a busy month, less outside, more inside, but nevertheless, busy. This first round of pictures was from our kids' first trip to the Indianapolis Children's Museum. What a neat place! Jess had to be in Indy for a conference and asked the kids and I to tag along. I, then, asked my mother to tag along. Taking care of two littles in the big city is not a job for 1 person. So we the better part of the day at the Children's Museum. They had wonderful exhibits for both the kids and 5 hours later... it wore them out! Here are the picture to prove it!
Digging for bones
Chihully art exhibit
Outside the HotWheels exhibit... big hit with my boys!
Construction zone.
Nature... peek a boo from a hole in a fallen tree.
The boys enjoyed their time in the big city.... new sites, sounds, things to do... like stand on the air conditioning unit and look down at daddy from 4 stories up!
Another favorite pasttime of both kids, is reading books. They like about anything but will just flip through construction/truck/digging books, but actually want to read story books. Here is Papaw Joe reading to both (well, maybe just Jack)!
I love having 2 boys. They are starting to play together and for the most part do OK with that. Jack gets annoyed that Nolan tears down his forts or blocks or takes a toy from him. Nolan isn't interested much in his baby toys, it's the big boy toys he likes... and sometimes even Mommy's decorations around the house (as evidenced in the below candlelit picture!
Love light night shows or movies when you see this!
More adventures of Nolan the climbing baby... caught red handed! Pushed the chair over, got a cup off the counter and went to the fridge to fill it up with ice and water... he's fallen a couple of times now, so we have since hid the chairs for a little while.
Another love of Nolan's is bathtime. You might have heard me say this before, but this is something Jack isn't particularly fond of, never has been. He likes to play, but not be washed. Nolan loves it all... he will be our "fish". In this picture, he is accomplishing 2 tasks, enjoying bathtime and annoying his brother by riding him like a horse!
And to end November, here are a few pictures we will include on our Christmas card this year. These were taken of us au-naturale in our bedroom in our jammies, but typical of our nightly routine.
I will leave you with 2 pictures of the boys, doing what they do best.... playing. Jack loves all things monster trucks and Nolan really is into anything music. That includes pounding the keys on the piano none of us yet know how to play, or listening and "helping" daddy play the guitar, or dancing to songs playing on the radio. It's really cute!
