Last weekend Mom, Dad, Graham, Jaclyn, Josh & Brock all came to STL. The family came on Saturday morning to go to the Cards vs. Astros baseball game, while Josh and Brock came to have a "guys weekend" before Jess heads back to school.
Josh and Brock came on Friday evening and soon after they got here, we all went out to eat at a new restuarant/sports bar up the road (Indigo Joe's). On Saturday, we got up early and headed downtown to meet my family for an early lunch at Jimmy John's (oh how I miss Jimmy John's from our days at Purdue:) and then to the game. We got there plenty early, so we watched the teams warmup and had a chance for a photo op or two.
After the game, Josh, Jess & I went to see "Baby Mama" at the movie theatre - really cute movie! I think the boys even enjoyed it. Sunday, the boys headed back down to the ballpark to enjoy the game. They got to see another "almost brawl" between the Cards & Astros (below - picture of both teams out on the field). Apparently the whole incident started back in Houston when Pujols slid into Home - taking out the Astro's catcher......therefore this lead to a two-game bench-clearing event. It was pretty exciting if you ask me!
