I am about a week behind on my posts, so this post refers to last weekend (August 16-17). My mom and dad (now Grandpa Joe and Grandma Susie) came to visit us. They arrived Saturday night after my brothers soccer game and left Sunday afternoon.
My dad brought a special present for Jack. Many of you know that my dad has taken up woodworking. He uses sassafras wood to make most of his pieces. So far, he has made benches, rocking chairs, end tables, a bed and shelving. When Jack was born dad gave Jess and I a rocking chair he made for us and it has been wonderful - Jack loves to rock!
Last weekend, dad brought Jack a rocking chair of his own - too cute! We also had a chance to take a few family photos. Jack's outfit in these pictures was really supposed to be the outfit he gets baptized in (date TBD), but at the rate he is growing, it's not going to fit. So we figured, we might as well get some good pictures out of it!
