A special Christmas to remember!

Well this is my first blog post in quite some time. It's definitely my first since the new look and feel of my blog launched last week - thanks to Mandy Ash! She probably thought it was time that we take the ultrasound picture off the top of the page and replace it with Jack's actual picture (5 months later)! What a great Christmas gift.

We have been busy bees. All last week we were back in Indiana visiting and spending time with family for the Christmas holiday. I had the entire week off of work and Jess is out of school until mid-January. It was such a wonderful 8 days and we were reminded of just how bad we both want to be back in Washington near our family and close friends.

Christmas was a multiple-day even for us. Our first family gathering was on the Saturday before Christmas and the last family gathering was the Saturday after Christmas. Unfortunately Jack had a cold most of the time we were home.... just a runny nose and a nasty cough. No fever though. He lost most of his appetite for a few days, but got it back towards the end of the week. You know there is something wrong with that boy when he won't nurse! He was a trooper though. He didn't fuss much and slept pretty well for being a "strange" place. I know his grandparents sure loved having him close and Jess and I enjoyed it as well.

I am going to figure out how to post a slideshow of pictures of Jack and his 1st Christmas, but until then - here are a few pictures. It was such a special Christmas to remember.
